I joined in May 2026 as the Director of Finance and Operations, focusing on the strategic financial management of the firm while also overseeing human resources and administrative operations.
Outside of work, Dina is usually on the lookout for good food, whether trying out a new recipe in her kitchen or exploring local restaurants. She also enjoys travel, the performing arts, and community service through her board membership at Community Cooks, a Somerville-based nonprofit that mobilizes volunteers to provide home-prepared meals for vulnerable neighbors throughout Greater Boston.
Fun Fact: Dina has a Culinary Arts degree and did externships in the pastry departments at Restaurant Daniel in New York City and a Michelin-starred restaurant in the Loire Valley of France.
Dina Sonenshein is the Director of Finance and Operations, responsible for the strategic management of Altara’s finances, human resources, and administrative operations. She spent almost two decades working in finance and HR roles in small businesses before joining Commonwealth Financial Network as a Practice Management Consultant, where she provided business consulting services to affiliated advisors. She was later promoted to Manager, Business Solutions in recognition of her work helping large, enterprise firms build scalable, enduring businesses.
Dina earned an AB in History from Bryn Mawr College and an MBA from Boston College. She is currently working towards completion of a coaching certificate program through Erickson International.
